The Pink Pagoda’s Jennifer and I have had such a
fun and inspiring friendship over the past year. We have so much in common. One is our love for binge watching dramatic & thrilling TV drama
series. The other is our love for art & design What I love about Jennifer's eye is how she can
create the perfect balance of a classic meets contemporary crossover that is eclectic and creates an overall well blended look.
So as you can imagine I am just thrilled that Jennifer has commissioned me for the art to be one of the main focal points of her entrance hall in this series of the One Room Challenge created by Calling It Home.
We came up with the idea of having 3 plywood panels cut. Each needed about 4 layers of primer to prevent warping.
Inspired by colors in both Jennifer's home, as well as the rugs in her living and dining rooms, we chose Pantone Inspired paint colors via Valspar's spring line. There will be additional "pops" of color in both chartreuse and gold.
A glimpse of some of the magic that has begun.
My kitty "Mandarin" giving me the stare-down because shortly before this photo was taken both she and our dog Java walked over one of the panels that was drying on the floor!!
Below: See all of the talented company we are in!
Now please head back over to The Pink Pagoda and see what else Jennifer has been up to this week with her entry!
Hi Christina, this is so fun to watch. I love the 'process' in almost everything. Of course I am dying to see what these will look like when you are finished. I am also surprised to read that you are using wood and not canvas? So interesting. Thanks for the mention. I love the updates on Instagram.
